Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced attorney to join our legal team and play a crucial role in navigating complex legal issues surrounding our SaaS offerings and technology transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting and Negotiating Agreements: Structure, draft, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including SaaS subscription agreements, software licenses, technology partnerships, IP licensing, and data processing agreements.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including data privacy and security requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Intellectual Property (IP) Counseling: Provide strategic guidance on IP protection, enforcement, and commercialization strategies.
  • Technology Transactions: Support the development, commercialization, and licensing of technology and IP assets.
  • Data Privacy and Security: Stay abreast of evolving data privacy laws and regulations, and ensure contractual arrangements adequately address data privacy and security risks.
Qualifications and Experience
  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school and admission to at least one state bar.
  • 7+ years of legal experience with a focus on SaaS, technology transactions, and intellectual property.
  • Strong understanding of software licensing, open source software, cloud computing, and data privacy laws.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the technology or SaaS industry, including artificial intelligence.
  • Familiarity with international data privacy regulations.
  • CIPP/US or other relevant privacy certifications.
