Job Title: Senior Corporate Counsel, AWS Sales and Marketing Global Services

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Corporate Counsel to join our AWS Sales and Marketing Global Services team.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about technology and commercial transactions. As a Senior Corporate Counsel, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and guidance to our sales and marketing teams on complex cloud services agreements, regulatory and compliance issues, and product launches.

You will also be responsible for innovating and modernizing our legal support, participating in other AWS legal projects, and driving simplification efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiating complex cloud services agreements
  • Advising on regulatory and compliance issues and the launches of new products and tools
  • Innovating to modernize and scale our legal support
  • Participating in other AWS legal projects, including managing issues that arise in existing commercial relationships and driving simplification efforts
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of legal experience
  • Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
  • Experience in technology and commercial transactions or businesses
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, outsourcing, telecommunications, cloud computing services or equivalent
  • Experience working closely with and advising senior executives of an organization or equivalent
  • Experience working independently and directly with all levels of legal and business partners or equivalent
  • In-house experience at a technology or internet company
  • Ability to set, drive strategy, and provide guidance to the team
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once, to exercise sound judgment in mission-critical situations, and to work cross-functionally with a variety of stakeholders
