**Job Summary**
At PIH Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Office Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth registration and pre-registration process for our patients.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Calculate and secure patient liability, including copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles in an efficient and accurate manner.
- Communicate effectively with staff, patients, guarantors, insurance companies, and physicians to ensure seamless patient care.
- Utilize strong computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology to navigate multiple screens and systems.
- Work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Adhere to all HIPAA laws and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
**Requirements**
- High school graduate or equivalent required; continuing education preferred.
- 1+ year of medical office/hospital/medical billing work experience preferred.
- Medical terminology knowledge strongly preferred.
- Insurance knowledge required.
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent customer service and phone skills with a background in the medical industry.
- Bilingual Spanish or Chinese (Mandarin) preferred.
