Environmental Services Attendant Opportunity

Overview:
Firelands Regional Medical Center is a leader in healthcare in Erie and surrounding counties since 1876. We are seeking a detail-oriented Environmental Services Attendant to join our team in Sandusky, OH.
Estimated Salary: $40,000 - $55,000 per year
Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and organized individual to maintain a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. As an Environmental Services Attendant, you will be responsible for cleaning assigned areas, collecting waste, and sanitizing equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Clean assigned areas by washing furniture, tile, fixtures, and equipment with germicidal cleaning solutions
- Clean assigned areas by washing walls, doors, door frames, ceilings, televisions, and windows; strip and make patient beds, sweep and mop hard floors and vacuum carpet
- Clean in outpatient and sterile processing using proper cleaning solutions and as prescribed by departmental procedures
- Thoroughly complete all procedures scheduled during the shift without sacrificing the quality of work
- Collect waste from all areas of the hospital and sanitize all waste cans
- Collect soiled linen and hazardous waste as established by the Infection Control Committee
- Climb a ladder to hang cubicles, window drapes, or reach high areas for other cleaning purposes
- Arrange furniture for meetings, workshops, and community affairs
Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and be mobile
- Ability to read and understand simple verbal and written instructions
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations
- Ability to comply with OSHA regulations and CDC standards and transmission-based precaution recommendations and use proper personal protective equipment
- Successful completion of a ninety (90) day probationary period
