Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Ohio Department of Veterans Services. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our veterans, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications, including controlled substances, under the direction of a registered nurse or licensed physician.
  • Maintain accurate medication records and prepare medications for residents.
  • Observe, report, and document residents' conditions, including response to treatment and medication reactions.
  • Prepare and maintain related reports, such as progress notes and care plans.
  • Provide general nursing, direct care, and programming assistance, including activities of daily living, vital signs, and ambulation.
  • Apply safety and infection control measures.
  • Assist Hospital Aides with tasks such as dressing, bathing, and feeding.
  • Attend meetings, including Interdisciplinary Team Meetings and staff conferences.

Qualifications:

  • License to practice nursing as a licensed practical nurse issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
  • Proof of completion of an approved course in medication administration.
  • Certification in IV Therapy, if administering dialysis treatment.
