Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at NOMS Healthcare. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will work with patients to assess and treat communication and swallowing disorders.

Your primary responsibilities will include evaluating patient's speech and language abilities, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy as ordered by the attending physician.

You will also be responsible for documenting patient progress and maintaining accurate records.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient's speech and language abilities and develop treatment plans to address communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Provide therapy as ordered by the attending physician, including individual and group sessions.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in speech language pathology.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited speech language pathology curriculum.
  • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) as required in the state of Ohio.
  • Able to practice speech therapy per state guidelines.
  • One year of recent clinical experience preferred.

Certifications:

Certifications appropriate to the position and clinical setting if any.

Environmental/Working Conditions:

Work is performed in an open area with other healthcare professionals. Work may be stressful at times.

Physical/Mental Demands:

Bend, twist and lift to assist a patient. Coordination, balance, and strength to safely guard and protect a patient.
