Key Responsibilities- Verify patient demographic information and insurance benefits in the patient accounting system
- Provide financial counseling to patients and/or guarantors, collecting out-of-pocket expenses and explaining financial obligations
- Complete financial disclosure paperwork, including verifying income and expenses, and submitting adjustment forms for charity or administrative adjustments
- Update daily collection logs and review with the Business Office Director on a weekly basis
- Gather and interpret data from the system to initiate timely and strategic steps resulting in payment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Three or more years' experience in a related field, with extensive knowledge of Commercial Insurance and Medicare/Medicaid
