About the Role

Couchbase is seeking a highly motivated Territory Sales Representative to join our team. As a Territory Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling our leading NoSQL database, Capella, to SMB accounts. You will be part of a field sales team that has established Couchbase as the first Engagement Database in the world.

Responsibilities
  • Close business to meet or exceed quarterly and annual bookings objectives
  • Uncover opportunities at existing accounts and establish new accounts to develop sales pipeline
  • Maintain pipeline in Salesforce.com CRM system, tracking interactions with prospects and customers
  • Conduct presentations of the company and product line
  • Travel to customer sites
  • Manage opportunities and forecast
Requirements
  • May have just moved from inside sales to a field role (at least 1-2 years of overall sales closing experience)
  • Can articulate a track record of producing as a new logo/pipeline generator at a startup or small company with large company competition
  • Trained in Strategic Selling methodology (M-H, MEDDIC desired)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be an outstanding team player
  • Self-motivated, independent, and high-performance individual, with ability to learn and become productive extremely fast
