A Human Resources Specialist position is available at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates (SMWE).

Key Responsibilities of the HR Specialist include:

  • Overseeing the complete employment cycle for hourly and select salaried personnel, which encompasses recruitment, compensation analysis, performance evaluation, employee relations, organizational development, and coaching.
  • Providing accessible HR guidance to line management, acting as the primary contact for inquiries related to employee benefits, HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping.
  • Facilitating and coordinating new employee orientations, which includes preparing offer letters, scheduling with managers, and delivering training presentations.
  • Assisting with facility projects and needs by leveraging an understanding of the business strategy to help leaders identify and address organizational challenges.
  • Enhancing employee experience by collaborating with management and staff to boost engagement and workplace relationships, participating in initiatives to improve morale, productivity, and retention.
Position Requirements:
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant HR experience, ideally in a production environment supporting hourly employees (subject to collective bargaining agreements).
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's Degree is preferred, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred, including reading, writing, and comprehension.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to perform work at a computer for extended periods and occasionally lift and carry up to 45 pounds.
  • This role is hybrid and requires flexibility in scheduling to accommodate business needs and travel to various sites.
  • Strong communication skills for diverse audiences, including written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and relationship building across all company levels.
  • Demonstrated responsible conduct regarding alcohol and other regulations, with the ability to meet licensing and certification requirements as needed.
Your Compensation:

$60,951 - $85,162 per year, based on relevant experience.
