Consumer Support Specialist

We are excited to announce a $600 sign-on bonus for new hires*. As we expand our services across various clinics, we are looking for dedicated individuals to help us continue providing exceptional care to our clients.
As a Direct Support Professional (CLI), your primary responsibility will be to supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of our consumers.
Position Details:
This is a part-time role requiring availability on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and document any noticeable changes in residents' behavior, attitude, and physical health.
- Assist in rehabilitation, re-motivation, and behavior modification initiatives.
- Support residents in developing self-help skills and social behaviors tailored to their individual needs.
- Engage residents in both group and individual activities.
- Accompany residents to appointments as required.
- Participate in specialized programs and provide individual interactions with residents.
- Deliver basic nursing care, including checking vital signs and applying simple dressings.
- Assist healthcare professionals with diagnostic and treatment procedures.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for residents.
- Help orient new residents to the facility.
- Respond to emergencies as per unit guidelines, providing assistance to residents in crisis situations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available.
- Administer medications to clients once certified as a DMH Level 1 Medication Aide.
- Obtain CPR certification within the first 90 days of employment.
- Assist clients with transportation needs, including driving as an essential function of the role.
- Train new staff on fundamental job responsibilities (CLI Shadow Trainer only).
- Conduct follow-up training for staff as necessary (CLI Shadow Trainer only).
- Communicate with clients and their families using sign language when required (CLI Sign Fluent only).
- Complete documentation and paperwork in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or GED is required.
Experience and Qualifications: - Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience or self-employment is required.
- A valid unrestricted driver's license is required at the time of hire, with the ability to obtain and maintain a class E MO driver's license within 60 days.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
