Job Title: Medical Technologist OR Medical Laboratory TechnicianJob Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at OhioHealth. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing accurate and timely patient test results, utilizing automation, computerization, and manual methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures to diagnose and manage human illness
  • Utilize automation, computerization, and manual methods to ensure accurate and timely results
  • Responsible for quality control and instrument operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Handle blood, tissue, fecal matter, sputum, urine, spinal fluid, and other bodily fluids, which may be contaminated with infectious diseases

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Applied Sciences or equivalent
  • MLT - Medical Laboratory Technologist Certification - American Society for Clinical Pathology
  • 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting or equivalent

Work Environment:

This is an evening shift position, working 40 hours per week in our Core Lab department.
