Job Summary

We are seeking a Caregiver/Direct Support Professional to join our team at Sevita. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, mental illness, and behavioral challenges. Your primary responsibility will be to provide direct care and support to our participants, enabling them to live a full and more independent life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care and support to participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, mental illness, and behavioral challenges.
  • Assist participants with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Support participants in developing and achieving their personal goals, such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
  • Encourage participants to participate in community activities and engage in their favorite hobbies.
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to participants.

Requirements

  • No experience required, but a high school diploma is necessary.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance required for day and evening shifts.
  • Excellent communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, and time-management skills.
  • Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible behavior.
