The compensation for this role is set at $3,987.33 monthly, with additional commission opportunities, and is not subject to negotiation.

This position remains open until filled, with an initial review of candidates commencing on a specified date.

Our organization serves the broader community with engaging, educational, and cultural programming across television, radio, and digital platforms. We are the public broadcasting entity for our region, dedicated to enhancing the educational and community service mission by informing and empowering our audience. This is achieved through a mix of nationally and locally produced content that reflects the unique characteristics of our community.

The Corporate Development Division is tasked with securing financial support from various sources, including corporations, foundations, and government entities. This support is acknowledged through advertisements, sponsorships, and credits in our programming. The division also focuses on generating revenue through our website and various events. The team comprises a Manager, several account executives, support staff, and interns.

Key Responsibilities
The following duties are representative of the work performed in this position and are not exhaustive. The omission of a specific duty does not preclude it from being part of the role if it is similar or related.

Sales Activities (75%)
Secure financial commitments for various programs and events through sponsorships and underwriting from businesses and individuals.Serve as a community liaison, fostering and maintaining strong relationships with current and prospective supporters.Develop and manage revenue-generating accounts, including prospecting, initiating sales calls, and closing agreements.Provide internal accounting and reporting to maintain and service accounts.Collaborate with clients to create underwriting credits and web advertisements.Participate in corporate development activities.

Administrative Duties (15%)
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets by platform.Ensure timely collection of payments from accounts.
Additional Responsibilities (10%)

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
  • A minimum of four years of relevant, full-time professional experience in sales, advertising, fundraising, or marketing.

Preferred Qualifications
  • A degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
  • Five years of experience in media sales.
  • Experience in TV, radio, and web sales.
  • Familiarity with audience measurement tools.
  • Understanding of public broadcasting principles.
