Position Summary: The Field Sales Engineer is responsible for engaging with a diverse range of clients, including educational institutions, industrial sectors, and engineering firms, to influence the specification and procurement of products offered by Cummins-Wagner.

Key Qualifications:

  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in all assignments.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities effectively.

  • Preferred: Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Must successfully pass background checks and drug testing.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of key contacts at all accounts.
  • Conduct regular training sessions on products for various stakeholders.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and Cummins-Wagner.
  • Ensure proper placement of company literature across all accounts.
  • Coordinate factory tours with vendors.
  • Assist in tracking job quotes for sales management.
  • Create a structured call plan to optimize time management.
  • Submit weekly call reports detailing objectives and outcomes.
  • Accompany other Sales Managers on visits to key accounts.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers and branch Sales Managers for new product launches.
  • Travel with manufacturers to meet customers when necessary.
  • Participate in factory training and marketing meetings as required.
  • Engage in various Trade Associations and assist with trade shows as needed.
  • Support troubleshooting for challenging projects.
