As a Lead Educator and Community Builder at Uncommon Schools, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating a love for learning in students from the earliest stages of their academic journey.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to fostering a culturally responsive, engaging, and joyful learning environment that encourages mastery and empowers students to engage in academic discourse.

You will be responsible for teaching basic principles of mathematics, reading and writing skills, ELA curriculum, Science, and Social Studies, with an emphasis on cultural and civic awareness. The selected candidate will also work closely with families to ensure appropriate resources are available to support students' learning needs.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will participate in weekly school-wide meetings, contribute to practice-based professional development, mentorship, and coaching sessions, and engage in regular feedback and evaluation to improve outcomes and achieve objectives.

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $56,000 to $77,000, depending on experience, education, certifications, and tenure with Uncommon Schools. Our comprehensive benefits include generous paid time off, extensive training and development opportunities, choice of health insurance plans, financial planning tools, dependent care FSA, and paid leave of absence.
