Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Crescent Services. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our guests receive the highest level of service and quality food.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Kitchen Team
    • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure that they are meeting the highest standards of quality and service.
    • Develop and implement menu plans and recipes to ensure that our guests receive a unique and memorable dining experience.
    • Monitor inventory levels and manage food costs to ensure that we are operating within budget.
  • Manage Kitchen Operations
    • Oversee the preparation and presentation of food to ensure that it meets our high standards of quality and presentation.
    • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is in good working order and that staff are trained to use it safely and efficiently.
    • Develop and implement procedures to ensure that our kitchen is clean and safe for our guests and staff.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef
    • Work closely with the Executive Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas and concepts.
    • Provide feedback and suggestions to the Executive Chef on ways to improve our menu and service.
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Assist with the recruitment and training of new staff members.
    • Develop and implement procedures to ensure that our kitchen is running efficiently and effectively.
    • Monitor and report on kitchen performance to the Executive Chef and other senior management.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior kitchen management role.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proven track record of success in a senior kitchen management role.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
    • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
