Job Summary

DMC Harper University/Hutzel Women's Hospital is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our MRI team on a part-time evening shift. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality MRI exams, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and collaborating with radiologists to provide accurate diagnoses.

Responsibilities:
  • Verify patient identity and review medical records for exam appropriateness
  • Interview patients to obtain medical history and assess risk factors
  • Explain procedures to patients, including risks and benefits
  • Set up equipment and acquire images as per script
  • Review images, document exceptions, and communicate data to radiologists
  • Recognize and respond to medical emergencies
  • Provide post-care instructions to patients
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and provide imaging education to residents and new employees
Qualifications:
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology (R) or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) training
  • One or more years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in Radiology (R) or advanced certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)
