Job Summary

DMC Harper University/Hutzel Women's Hospital is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team in a part-time afternoon shift capacity. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality MRI exams, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and collaborating with radiologists to provide accurate diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient identity and review medical records to ensure exam appropriateness
  • Conduct thorough patient interviews to obtain medical history and assess risk factors
  • Explain procedures to patients, including potential side effects and risks
  • Operate MRI equipment to acquire high-quality images
  • Review images, document exceptions, and communicate findings to radiologists
  • Recognize and respond to medical emergencies as needed
  • Provide post-care instructions to patients and participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Deliver imaging education to residents, student technologists, and new employees
Requirements
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology (R) or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) training
  • One or more years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in Radiology (R) or advanced certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)
