DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team on a part-time evening shift. As a diagnostic medical sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services.



Job Summary

Under the supervision of experienced professionals, you will perform diagnostic ultrasound exams using advanced imaging equipment. Your responsibilities will include verifying patient identity, reviewing medical records, and explaining procedures to patients. You will also be responsible for setting up equipment, acquiring images, and communicating data to radiologists.



Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams using advanced imaging equipment
  • Verify patient identity and review medical records
  • Explain procedures to patients and provide post-care instructions
  • Set up equipment, acquire images, and communicate data to radiologists
  • Participate in process improvement activities to enhance patient care and satisfaction


Requirements

  • Registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training from the American Heart Association
  • Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse atmosphere and communicate with patients and hospital personnel
  • Technical knowledge of imaging equipment and computers
  • Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, and lifting
