Job Summary

DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As a diagnostic imaging specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic MRI exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
  • Verify patient identity and review medical records to ensure appropriateness of exams or procedures.
  • Interview patients to obtain, verify, or update medical history and assess risk factors.
  • Explain procedures to patients, including potential side effects, risks, benefits, and alternatives.
  • Set up equipment and acquire images as per script, reviewing and documenting exceptions from established protocols.
  • Recognize and respond to medical emergencies as necessary.
  • Provide post-care instructions to patients and participate in process improvement activities within the radiology practice.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology (R) or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR).
  • One or more years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology (R) or advanced certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, and maintain accurate records.
  • Strong analytical and clinical skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
