Job Description

CALIBRE Systems Inc., an employee-owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation company, is seeking a Transition Assistance Program Site Lead to support our client at Norfolk Naval Station, VA.

The successful candidate will conduct transition activities in support of the VA, including standardized VA Benefits and Services Briefings, one-on-one engagements, pre-separation counseling support, military life cycle (MLC) events, Capstone events, and warm-handover support.

The Transition Assistance Program Site Lead will be responsible for executing staffing, event management, and logistics activities at assigned installations, ensuring integrated and proactive communications, quality management, and risk management practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operational deployment activities for staff at assigned installations
  • Executing non-event activities at assigned installations
  • Travel management activities for staff at assigned installations
  • Developing coverage models for assigned installations
  • Scheduling field staff training at assigned installations
  • Executing order review and inventory management activities at assigned installations
  • Participating in weekly leadership teleconferences/virtual meetings
  • Leading weekly Site Lead meetings with staff and other installation points of contact
  • Informing installation staff about new policies, procedures, and operational guidance
  • Executing quality management activities at assigned installations
  • Executing risk and issue management activities at assigned installations
  • Delivering onsite activities and executing post-event data collection activities

Required skills include:

  • Understanding and applying adult learning theories
  • Understanding of VA benefits programs
  • Understanding of transitioning Service member populations
  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite of tools
  • Strong customer management and support skills

Required experience includes:

  • Bachelor's degree or 5-7 years' equivalent work/military experience
  • Preferred emphasis in Training, Education, Career Counseling, or HR
  • Appropriate certifications

Preferred skills include:

  • Experience delivering briefings to live audiences
  • Knowledge of the military and experience working with military clients
  • Understanding of current veteran issues and challenges pre- and post-transition
