Your Contribution:

If you are passionate about technology and sustainability, consider a Wind Engineering Internship at GE Vernova. As a Wind Engineering Intern, you will play a vital role in our dedication to safety, high-quality products, and global decarbonization efforts. This internship serves as a pathway to the Wind Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP).

Key Responsibilities:

As a Wind Engineering Intern, you will engage in technically challenging and impactful projects. You will have the chance to collaborate with various high-priority teams, focusing on:

  • Product design
  • Systems engineering
  • Component design (including towers, machine heads, and power conversion)
  • Controls and operability
  • Advanced technology and manufacturing
  • Testing and validation
  • Aerodynamics and performance
  • Quality assurance and cost reduction

This internship is a stepping stone to the GE Vernova Wind Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP), where graduates are equipped with the technical and business acumen to drive innovative contributions to GE Vernova's future.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate engineering program from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Eligible majors include Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Controls Engineering. Other related engineering disciplines may also be considered.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.

  • A strong interest in the wind energy sector and a commitment to a career in technology.
  • Demonstrated academic excellence, leadership capabilities, and relevant internship or research experience in design engineering or manufacturing.
  • A proactive, motivated, and adaptable individual with a structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in diverse project teams.
  • Preferred GPA of 3.2/4.0 or higher.

Additional Requirements:

  • Geographical mobility is required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

The compensation for this position ranges from $21.00/hr to $34.00/hr, depending on the level of education completed.

This role also includes:

  • Relocation Assistance: Reimbursement for documented expenses incurred during relocation.
  • Housing Allowance: A weekly allowance to assist with living costs for interns whose permanent residence is over 50 miles from the work location.
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Program for confidential support services.
  • Eligibility for the GE Retirement Savings Plan after 90 days of service.
