Position Overview

**This role is essential for supporting the LOGCAP program and will be located in Greenville, SC.**

The Talent Acquisition Specialist reports directly to the Recruiting Supervisor and is responsible for a comprehensive range of activities associated with recruiting personnel for the LOGCAP V initiative and other field-based projects as necessary. This role involves regular collaboration with department managers to proactively identify future staffing needs. The Specialist will make independent decisions to select the most qualified candidates, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals, mission, and vision through the application of established strategies, programs, processes, and policies.

The Specialist will conduct interviews and screen candidates for technical proficiency, relevant experience, personal aspirations, and organizational fit, ultimately making hiring decisions. The role primarily focuses on the recruitment of non-exempt and non-supervisory personnel.

Key Responsibilities

***This is a Temporary Position expected to last for a minimum of 3 months, subject to customer needs.***

This position description may be adjusted as necessary to meet program or company requirements.

  • Lead recruitment initiatives for positions within the LOGCAP V project and travel to various locations as needed to facilitate recruitment activities.
  • Support team members during recruitment surges or phase-in periods as required.
  • Source, screen, interview, and evaluate qualified candidates for hiring managers. Conduct initial assessments to gauge candidates' relevant skills and experience.
  • Review job descriptions to ensure they contain the necessary information for advertisements, online postings, and targeted job boards.
  • Act as a talent advisor, providing insights on best practices in recruitment to client groups. Continuously research and assess the external job market to maintain awareness of competitive practices.
  • Develop proactive sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill or unique positions while adhering to hiring processes.
  • Maintain a vigorous recruiting pace aimed at reducing the time taken to fill vacancies.
  • Track candidate status and provide follow-up communication at the conclusion of the recruitment process.
  • Manage all candidate information within the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Accelerate the hiring process for critical roles by implementing effective recruitment strategies.
  • Analyze data to identify problems and propose solutions, adapting to changing circumstances and responsibilities.
  • Exhibit a responsible work ethic, with exceptional organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service with internal stakeholders, ensuring effective hiring strategies for newly posted positions.
  • Foster strong relationships with candidates, ensuring timely review of all internal applications.
  • Coordinate and participate in job fairs, transition seminars, and other recruitment events across the U.S. and occasionally overseas. This role may require travel to support recruitment efforts, including extended trips for comprehensive domestic and international recruitment.
  • Oversee background checks, employment verification, visa processing, and reference checks for potential candidates.
  • Schedule pre-employment physical and mental health examinations as required.
  • Consult with the Strength Management Team and hiring managers regarding job vacancies, candidate selection, and onboarding processes.
  • Advise hiring managers on effective interviewing techniques, talent acquisition processes, and employee retention strategies.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs, ensuring timely presentation of high-quality candidates.
  • Collaborate with members of the Strategic Staffing Team to enhance recruitment efficiency and performance.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new team members within the Strategic Staffing Team.
  • Develop candidate pipelines for anticipated program awards.
  • Perform additional HR-related duties as assigned.
  • Develop procedures for a variety of responsibilities or execute complex tasks within established policy frameworks.
  • This position may require travel up to 25% for both domestic and international assignments.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
    • Ability to pass a T1 Background investigation; CAC eligibility is required.
  • Experience:
    • Experience in recruiting for LOGCAP or other government contracts is mandatory.
    • A minimum of two (2) years of direct recruiting experience, including proactive approaches such as diversity recruiting, cold calling, and networking.
    • Demonstrated strong work ethic, integrity, and accountability.
    • Experience collaborating with and influencing senior hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
    • Ability to devise strategies for challenging-to-fill positions.
    • Proficient in HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Candidate Management Systems (CMS).
    • Knowledge of OFCCP, Sarbanes Oxley, and DCAA guidelines.
    • Proven track record in metrics such as time-to-fill, retention rates, number of positions filled, and diversity of candidate pools.
    • Success in recruiting and placing passive candidates.
    • Familiarity with the full-cycle recruiting process.
    • Experience employing creative sourcing techniques and maintaining a network of top-tier talent.

  • Travel Requirements:
    • This position may require travel up to 25% for both domestic and international assignments, including locations that may be austere, remote, or hazardous, where Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be necessary.
    • To qualify for more than 50% of time charged to LOGCAP, candidates must be prepared to deploy to domestic and international locations, potentially on a temporary basis, as part of the Vectrus Rapid Deployment Team (RDT).
  • Working Conditions:
    • Work is primarily conducted in an office setting; however, duties may occasionally involve outdoor work with potential exposure to extreme temperatures and conflict zones.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Position may require heavy lifting, climbing, prolonged standing, and sitting, as well as working in environments where exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents may occur.
    • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory in certain situations, including head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protection.
    • Compliance with all fire and safety regulations and site policies is required.
