The Talent Acquisition Specialist will report to the Recruiting Supervisor and will handle a comprehensive array of tasks related to sourcing and recruiting personnel for the LOGCAP V initiative and other related projects. This role involves regular collaboration with department heads to proactively identify future staffing needs and make independent decisions regarding candidate selection. The Specialist will align recruitment efforts with the organizational goals, mission, and vision, employing specified strategies and processes.
The Specialist will conduct interviews and screen candidates for technical skills, relevant experience, and cultural fit within the organization, ensuring effective hiring decisions. The focus will be on non-exempt and non-supervisory roles.
Key Responsibilities***This is a Temporary Position expected for a duration of 3 months or more based on project requirements.***

- Lead recruitment initiatives for positions within the LOGCAP V project and travel to various locations as needed to facilitate recruitment activities.
- Support team members during recruitment surges or phase-in periods.
- Source, screen, and interview qualified candidates, providing initial assessments of their skills and experiences.
- Review job descriptions to ensure they contain relevant information for advertising and online postings.
- Act as a talent advisor, sharing best practices in recruitment with client groups and continuously researching the external market to stay informed about competitive practices.
- Develop proactive sourcing strategies for challenging positions while adhering to hiring protocols.
- Maintain a swift recruitment pace to minimize the time taken to fill vacancies.
- Track candidate statuses and provide follow-up communications at the conclusion of the recruitment process.
- Manage all candidate information within the Applicant Tracking System.
- Accelerate the hiring process for critical roles through effective recruitment strategies.
- Analyze data to identify problems and develop solutions, adapting to changing circumstances as necessary.
- Exhibit a responsible work ethic with exceptional organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
- Maintain high customer service standards with internal stakeholders by implementing effective hiring strategies for new job postings.
- Foster strong relationships with candidates, ensuring timely reviews of internal applications.
- Coordinate and participate in job fairs and other recruitment events, both domestically and internationally, which may require travel.
- Oversee background checks, employment verifications, and other pre-employment processes.
- Schedule necessary pre-employment assessments as required.
- Consult with management regarding vacancies and candidate selections.
- Advise hiring managers on effective interviewing techniques and talent acquisition processes.
- Build strong relationships with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and ensure timely presentation of high-quality candidates.
- Collaborate with the Strategic Staffing Team to enhance recruitment efficiency and performance.
- Assist in training and mentoring new team members.
- Develop candidate pipelines for anticipated program awards.
- Complete additional HR-related tasks as assigned.
- Develop procedures for various duties or perform complex tasks within established guidelines.
- Be prepared to travel up to 25% for both domestic and international assignments.
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to obtain a favorable background investigation.
- Experience:
- Experience in recruiting for government contracts is required.
- A minimum of two years of direct recruiting experience, including proactive approaches such as diversity recruiting and networking.
- Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and a strong work ethic.
- Experience collaborating with senior hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
- Proven ability to establish strategies for difficult-to-fill positions.
- Familiarity with HR databases and Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Knowledge of compliance guidelines.
- Track record of meeting recruitment metrics.
- Experience in sourcing and placing passive candidates.
- Comprehensive understanding of the full-cycle recruiting process.
- Proficient in utilizing creative sourcing techniques to build a network of top talent.
