Key Responsibilities:
Customer and Account Service
- Serve as a primary contact for consumer banking, actively understanding our customers and their requirements, and providing a knowledgeable point of contact.
- Consistently represent the bank positively and courteously, prioritizing customer interests.
- Maintain a friendly demeanor and approach customers with a smile.
- Assist customers in opening, managing, and closing accounts, recommending services that align with their needs.
- Address customer inquiries and issues regarding checking and savings accounts, ensuring appropriate information is located and concerns are resolved.
- Handle incoming calls, directing them to the appropriate bank personnel as necessary.
Transaction Management and Balancing
- Ensure that all transactions, balancing, and cash handling are conducted with proper authorization and dual control.
- Process check cashing and disbursements after verifying identification and ensuring accuracy.
- Receive and verify deposits, ensuring the accuracy of deposit slips.
- Examine checks for endorsements and validate pertinent information.
- Record customer transactions accurately and issue receipts, consulting management for any necessary corrections.
- Facilitate payments for mortgages, loans, and other bills, confirming payment details.
Product Knowledge and Promotion
- Explain and promote bank products and services, tailoring recommendations based on customer needs.
- Cross-sell financial products in accordance with the bank's standards.
Branch Operations
- Manage the opening and closing of the safe deposit vault with dual control.
- Order and manage currency for bank operations as directed.
Compliance and Confidentiality
- Safeguard confidential information and assist in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
- Maintain awareness of and adhere to policies, procedures, and laws, including the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering Act.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in banking.
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor, even under pressure.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of banking experience.
- Experience in deposit banking and customer service.
- Knowledge of banking regulations.
