Job Title: Contract Manager

Job Summary:

Suna Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager to join our team. As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing contracts with various stakeholders. You will lead the contract development process from drafting through execution, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with legal and Company standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and negotiate contracts, including consulting agreements, services agreements, confidentiality agreements, statements of work, change orders, and other types of agreements.
  • Lead the contract development process from drafting through execution, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with legal and Company standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including commercial, regulatory, clinical operations, finance, and business development teams, to understand contract requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide guidance on contract matters to project managers and other operational staff, including training on contracting practices and procedures.
  • Review contract requests for consistency with Company's requirements and policies and respond to requests according to current priorities.
  • Manage contract database and ensure that all contracts are properly stored, categorized, and easily accessible for future reference.
  • Maintain and update contract lifecycle management system and review contract records for completeness and accuracy.
  • Support creation of contracts by gathering and vetting required inputs, including business terms from a variety of functional owners.
  • Perform review of mature contracts and manage renewals and amendments.
  • Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies to manage contractual risks.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to life sciences contracts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution; a certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program preferred.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in the legal department of a biotech or pharmaceutical company, with a focus on the contract review process (from drafting through execution).
  • High degree of ability to use analytical reasoning, logical deduction, reading comprehension with attention to detail and the ability to think critically.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise judgment while efficiently managing multiple projects.
  • Superior attention to detail and adaptability to new and/or evolving processes.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Adobe, and DocuSign.
