We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Contract Negotiator to join our team at San Francisco Health Plan. Key Responsibilities- Contract Development and Negotiation: Develop and manage provider contracting efforts and partnerships, leading the development of contracting strategies based on new or existing initiatives and requirements.
- Contract Management: Ensure all configuration changes with new or amended contracts are implemented accurately, and acquire and maintain claims processing system knowledge to ensure all configuration changes to new or amended contracts are implemented.
- Contract Negotiation: Successfully negotiate the terms and conditions of contracts and other transaction documents, finding creative solutions to avoid and resolve potential contractual impasses.
- Contract Monitoring: Monitor ad-hoc out-of-network service agreements to determine provider contract opportunities, and communicate new and updated contract terms and rates to internal stakeholders.
- Contract Templates and Amendments: Lead the development of contract templates and amendments, and participate in and support enterprise-wide projects to implement new benefits and products.
- Healthcare Data Analysis: Analyze healthcare data for the purposes of contract negotiations, and maintain working relationships with SFHP providers, vendors, and medical groups, and internal staff.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in healthcare provider contracting in a managed care setting, with 3+ years of experience with Medi-Cal and/or Medicare in a managed care setting.
- Education: BA/BS in Business, Healthcare, or a related field.
- Skills: Experience with analysis of healthcare data for the purposes of contract negotiations, project management, comprehension of legal terms typically found in managed care agreements, and experience with data gathering and data/report analysis.
