CNC Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a skilled CNC Equipment Specialist to join our team at Goldens' Foundry & Machine Company in Columbus, GA.
Job SummaryThe CNC Equipment Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance and efficient operation of our CNC machines. This individual will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and collaborating with production and engineering teams to optimize machine efficiency.
Responsibilities- Maintenance and Repairs: Perform regular maintenance and inspections of CNC machines, identifying and addressing any mechanical, electrical, or technical issues.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose equipment malfunctions using manual and diagnostic tools, and apply effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production and engineering teams to perform preventive maintenance tasks and optimize machine efficiency.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used, utilizing our maintenance tracking system.
- System Repair: Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems as needed.
- New Equipment Setup: Assist in the installation, setup, and calibration of new CNC equipment and machinery.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to suggest improvements and enhancements to our CNC equipment maintenance processes.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 2 years of experience as a CNC Maintenance Technician or in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing CNC machinery, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming and operation.
- Solid knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to resolve urgent issues.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to keep accurate maintenance records.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with different teams and departments.
- Comfortable working in various conditions, including standing, bending, and working in confined spaces.
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year based on location and experience.
