Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage tax filings for various entity types, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tax clients, fostering strong relationships and providing customized tax strategies and advice.
- Supervise, mentor, and coach junior staff and senior tax professionals, ensuring continuous development and high performance within the tax team.
- Provide proactive tax planning strategies to minimize clients' tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
- Identify potential tax risks for clients and provide recommendations to mitigate exposure, reviewing tax returns, tax provisions, and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal, state, and local tax codes.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in public accounting with a focus in tax.
- CPA license is required.
- Experience in client management with a proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships.
- Experience in managing and developing a team.
