Position SummaryThe Safety Administrative Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the Safety and Training department by managing various administrative tasks. This position requires a commitment to in-person work.
Key Responsibilities- Provide essential administrative support, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and appointment scheduling.
- Assist in developing, distributing, and maintaining safety and training documentation.
- Keep accurate records of training sessions, certifications, and compliance documents.
- Coordinate logistics for safety training, ensuring all necessary resources are available.
- Contribute to the formulation and execution of safety policies and procedures.
- Act as a resource for employees regarding safety inquiries.
- Support the Safety Manager in incident investigations and documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance communication and project coordination.
- Help organize safety drills and emergency preparedness activities.
- Compile and analyze data related to safety performance and training outcomes.
- Perform general office duties, including phone management and email correspondence.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of Personal Protective Equipment.
- Track and update safety scorecards and compliance logs.
- Support the creation of safety awareness materials.
- Engage in ad-hoc projects as required.
- High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in administrative roles.
- Experience in a Safety and Training environment is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and office equipment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong recordkeeping skills.
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work.
