Position Overview:

Our Mental Health and Addiction Clinical Service Line provides comprehensive care, including integrated psychiatric services, specialized outpatient clinics, and emergency care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver psychiatric care to child and adolescent patients within a hospital-based clinic setting, addressing complex mental health challenges.
  • Conduct evaluations and treatment plans, including individual therapy, medication management, and crisis intervention.
  • Work closely with Allina hospitals to facilitate referrals from various sources, including primary care and emergency departments.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychologists, nurses, and social workers, to enhance patient care.
  • Conduct thorough 90-minute intake assessments for child/adolescent patients.
  • Perform 30-minute follow-up sessions to monitor patient progress.

  • Maintain daytime clinic hours with potential on-call participation.

Qualifications:

  • MD, DO, or equivalent foreign medical training required.
  • Board eligible/certified with ABMS or AOA.
  • Possession of an active, unrestricted medical license in Minnesota or the ability to obtain one.
  • Capability to secure and maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • Meet credentialing and hospital privilege requirements as necessary.

Physical Requirements:

Medium Work: Ability to lift up to 32 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently, in accordance with Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy.
