Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Export Coordinator to join our team at SpartanNash. As a key member of our export operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the export of goods, managing customer communications, and ensuring compliance with export regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the export of goods, including container planning and Department of Defense bookings
  • Provide administrative support for the export operations team
  • Oversee the documentation generated and required for exporting goods
  • Supervise import/export related activities and ensure smooth execution of order replenishment process
  • Manage customer communications and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Review orders for completeness, export compliance, and company policies
  • Monitor orders for timely delivery and work with suppliers to expedite
  • Maintain orders for expediting or special ordering
  • Timely invoicing and control of additional costs
  • Adhere to global and local procedures and standards when handling tasks
  • Determine export requirements and prepare and review required type of authorization
  • Responsible for communication with export customers
  • Participate in meetings with customers
  • Follow up customer volumes, asking for more
  • Manage communication within the company, with other departments, transshipments, and discharge ports to solve client's issues
  • Take ownership and additional responsibility in solving day-to-day issues

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of overall supply chain strategy
  • Ensure compliance with and understand domestic and international shipping requirements
  • Familiar with document flow for international shipping documents, Export/Import regulations
  • Excellent computer skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Office application
  • Team player and have the ability to work in a team environment
  • Detail and task oriented and ability to multi-task
  • Familiar with International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations, policy, government relations, business or some knowledge and application of import/export trade regulations
