Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee and coordinate a team of skilled mechanics to ensure the smooth operation of equipment throughout the bakery. This role requires a strong understanding of food manufacturing processes and the ability to execute maintenance tasks with precision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign work orders to the maintenance team based on individual skill sets and experience.
  • Provide training and guidance to mechanics on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
  • Lead root cause analysis to identify and resolve equipment issues and prevent future failures.
  • Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and develop training schedules for the maintenance team.
  • Ensure compliance with governmental regulations, including the National Electrical Code, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Uniform Building Code (UBC).
  • Practice and enforce all bakery and maintenance department safety procedures, including Lock-Out-Tag-Out, Arc Flash, and Hot Work Permits.
  • Follow good manufacturing practices (GMPs) for Carolina Foods.
  • Inspect equipment, develop repair lists, and identify short-term and long-term repairs to ensure optimal machine performance.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
  • 2 years of experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance.
  • Mechanical or electrical certifications/licenses.
