Healthcare Provider for Special Needs Students

Alief Independent School District is seeking a qualified School Nurse to join our team. As a School Nurse, you will be responsible for providing healthcare services to students with special needs, including those who are medically fragile.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans and services for children with disabilities.
- Administer medication to students according to board policy and district procedures.
- Identify, assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate student health concerns, including physical and mental health needs and injuries.
- Conduct health assessments, including screenings for health factors impacting student education.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree from an accredited professional nursing education program or Bachelor's degree in Science in Nursing preferred.
- Valid registered nurse license from the State of Texas Board of Nursing.
- Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) / Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum two years of nursing experience in community health, ambulatory care, school health, or other related fields.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
