Position Summary
In this role, you will operate under general supervision as a vital member of a high-performing compensation team, engaging in comprehensive activities related to the design, development, and management of various compensation programs. You will oversee projects, coordinate tasks, and prepare strategic recommendations that necessitate a deep understanding of provider compensation frameworks, methodologies, and market trends. Acting as an internal consultant for designated functions and business units, you will provide analytical support on a variety of compensation-related issues, ensuring alignment with best practices and legal standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned functions and departments, leveraging your expertise in compensation models and market dynamics to inform local decision-making.
- Engage in the design, implementation, and management of all provider compensation initiatives, including data collection, compensation calculations, and stakeholder reporting.
- Generate reports and analyses to assess program viability and cost implications, while evaluating proposals for new initiatives and monitoring the effectiveness of existing programs.
- Maintain and manage databases in Excel and Access to support compensation functions, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand business data influences and variations, providing independent consulting on data analysis.
- Participate in the collection and evaluation of compensation survey data, conducting market analyses for physicians and advanced practice clinicians.
- Assess compensation-related issues, including salary offers for new hires and promotions, and develop processes to address variable pay needs across the organization.
Supervisory Responsibilities
You may provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts or other compensation team members.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, human resource management, or data analytics (or equivalent experience) is preferred. A minimum of five to seven years of experience in compensation, including program development, design, analysis, and implementation, is required.
