Job Description

Arthur Grand Technologies is currently seeking a highly motivated and Skilled  RPG Programmer Analyst for one of our clients

 

 

Position: Programmer Analyst

Location: Newton NC, 28658 - Onsite

Full Time Opportunity

 

Programmer Analyst with responsibilities related to implementation, development, and maintenance of IBM Power systems. Works closely with IT team and other critical business leads for all departments and divisions.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, debug, and modify application programs or code using RPG (IV/ILE/free), CL and SQL programming.
  • Work directly with the business to understand business requirements and translate them into documented functional and technical recommendations.
  • Work on production support; handle critical situations and resolution of incidents raised by users.
  • Develop and contribute to Department Standards & Best Practices.
  • Create reports and mine data for Management requests (new reports);
  • Ability to balance production support quickly and effectively with project needs.
  • Support and develop programs including but are not limited to Order Entry, Purchasing, Materials Management, Scheduling, Costing, Accounting, and Manufacturing.
  • Support Incentive/Piece rate Pay System.
  • JavaScript, JavaScript Frameworks (i.e. Ext.JS, NodeJS)
  • Advanced Web Programming skills (i.e. PHP, HTML, Apache Webserver, JSon, CSS, Web Services API)
  • Extensive SQL Experience
  • User support for legacy hardware/software as well as newly developed applications.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience is required (3 years minimum).
  • Strong manufacturing background
  • Furniture background with domestic manufacturing preferred

 

Specific Skills/Abilities Required/Preferred:

  • RPG (IV/ILE/free) and CL Programming
  • IBM AS400/iSeries/Power Systems
  • SQL working knowledge

 

Preferred:

  • Mobile App Development (i.e. Swift, xCode, Android Studio)
  • RPGIV / RPGILE / RPGFREE / SQLRPGLE / DB2
  • API working knowledge – a plus
