Jewelry Sales Associate

As a Jewelry Store Associate at Chamonix Casino Hotel, you will be an integral part of our team, embodying the Chamonix brand and corporate values in every client interaction. Your passion for the fields of design, jewelry, and gemology will shine through in every conversation, making each client's experience extraordinary.
Key Responsibilities:- Sales and Client Relationships: Consistently achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual store sales plans by capturing client data and cultivating new and existing client relationships.
- In-Store Experience: Elevate the in-store experience by delivering memorable moments to every client, starting with a smile and a greeting. Demonstrate passion as a Chamonix brand ambassador during every selling process.
- Store Operations: Achieve sales plan, understand and deliver store KPIs, participate and achieve minimum target goals, and adhere to compliance of store operations and merchandising standards.
- Inventory Management: Conduct daily housekeeping, including daily management of client telling tasks, perform accurate and efficient inventory control and loss prevention procedures, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Customer Service: Develop a strong rapport with featured designers, work with customers to procure inventory of specific size to generate custom orders, and maintain a high level of timeliness, honesty, and integrity at all times.
- Demonstrated experience working in the jewelry industry is desired.
- Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines and under pressure.
- Demonstrated experience problem-solving, organizing, and prioritizing work.
- Must be based in and currently hold authorization to work in the United States.
- Proven track record in achieving sales results.
- Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work with a diverse client base.
- Proficiency with Point of Sales (POS) systems, client tracking systems, and Microsoft Outlook/email.
- Preferred Bachelors Degree or equivalent.
- Prefer a graduate gemologist degree or previous Gemological Institute of America (GIA) course work.
- One (1) or more years of recent experience working in the jewelry industry is preferred.
- Experience in high-end jewelry sales or art gallery experience is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years retail or luxury retail experience or relevant customer-related experience (i.e. luxury hospitality, etc.)
Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.
Reasoning Ability:Position does not work outside the scope of duties.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License.
Other Skills/Abilities:Demonstrated knowledge about Jewelry is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, customer service skills, and the ability to prioritize while handling multiple tasks is required.
Physical Demands:Essential duties involve sitting while completing paperwork or using a computer. Duties include kneeling, squatting, bending, walking, crouching, stooping, and standing with standard breaks. Essential duties require lifting up to 30 pounds to stack, store, or move general office supplies and merchandise.
Work Environment:Essential duties involve working primarily in an inside environment.
Materials and Equipment Directly Used:Various general office supplies and equipment include computers, calculators, fax machines, photocopiers, printers, staplers, and tape.
Compensation & Benefits:Starting at $16.00+ per hour BOE plus commission.
