Job Overview
Key Qualifications:

PRIMARY ROLE:

Design and specify sophisticated electrical, mechanical, and computer-controlled systems. Enhance manufacturing support and maintenance initiatives through training and technical assistance. Formulate process specifications, machine parameters, and devise strategies for scrap reduction and uptime enhancements. Lead capital projects from strategic planning to purchase, installation, testing, and transition to operations. Evaluate best-in-class facilities and implement world-class processes, equipment, and workflows.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop control systems for machine tools, encompassing electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.

Select capital equipment tailored for manufacturing operations.

Optimize existing machine tools to boost uptime, enhance quality, and increase productivity.

Provide engineering support for production equipment and processes, including maintenance advisement.

Establish initiatives for cost-saving activities to meet overall plant objectives.

Advise on the enhancement of preventative maintenance programs.

Collaborate with suppliers and internal engineers for continuous improvement initiatives.

Authorize and approve modifications to machine tool programs.

Educate associates on new technologies and manufacturing methodologies.

Adhere to and maintain Quality Management System and Environmental Management System standards.

Participate in teams and champion team initiatives.

Monitor and document cost savings.

PFMEAs:
Understand the application of PFMEAs within the organization; develop, maintain, and review PFMEAs as necessary.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.

The position necessitates technical expertise in machine functions, processes, control systems, CNC, PLC, servo drives, stepper motor drives, and electrical/electronic systems.

Technical knowledge in mechanical design is essential.

Proficient abilities in capital equipment justification, project scheduling, and managerial planning are required. Strong interpersonal skills are crucial.

Mentor and develop maintenance personnel.

Assist other facilities with technical challenges.

Candidates must be capable of self-managing assigned project tasks.

Preferred experience in data-driven analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
