Position Overview

Salary:
Jones Petrie Rafinski (JPR), a leading provider of architecture and engineering services, is on the lookout for a practice leader in the field of Water Resources. Our firm is multi-disciplinary, offering a diverse range of challenging projects to our professionals. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a skilled team within the Water Resources division and associated personnel from supporting departments.

The role entails project management and oversight of water, wastewater, and stormwater initiatives, particularly those related to municipal infrastructure. The candidate can expect to engage in a variety of development projects across different environments.

Assignments will be local, focusing on project and client interactions.

Qualifications Required:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.

Professional Licensure in Indiana is preferred, while licensure in Michigan or Ohio is highly regarded.

At least 8 years of experience in water and wastewater engineering is preferred.

  • High proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage client relationships effectively.
  • Oversee all phases of water and wastewater projects, including planning, engineering, and construction.
  • Develop and manage projects from conception to completion.
  • Mentor and guide team members.
  • Provide clear documentation of design strategies and implementations.
  • Conduct analysis and design for minor structures, systems, and equipment.
  • Create sketches and diagrams for technician use.
  • Review and verify detailed drawings and layouts.
  • Prepare reports, economic and technical feasibility studies, and evaluations of alternative systems, equipment, materials, or engineering methods.
  • Draft contract proposals, specifications, and construction cost estimates.
  • Review contractor submissions for shop drawings.
  • Collaborate with department leads across various practice areas.
  • Encourage team growth, cohesion, and innovation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
