Job Title: Registered Nurse PACU Full Time Days

Good Samaritan Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide direct and indirect specialized nursing care to patients after receiving anesthetic agents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the care of patients in the PACU, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery.
Requirements:
  • Florida R.N. licensure
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification (preferred)
  • One year of experience as a PACU nurse
  • One year of experience in ICU/ER setting
Physical Demands:
  • Requires walking and standing during most of the time on duty.
  • Frequent reaching, handling of instruments and equipment.
  • Speaking and hearing essential for relaying of information, receiving doctors orders.
  • Visual acuity required to work with records and equipment.
  • Frequently lifting 30-50 pounds.
