Job Title: Registered Nurse - PACU

Good Samaritan Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. As a PACU Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a smooth transition from the operating room to the recovery area.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct and indirect specialized nursing care to patients after receiving anesthetic agents
  • Coordinate patient care and serve as a patient advocate throughout the post-operative experience
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Florida R.N. licensure
  • Basic Life Support
  • ACLS
  • PALS (preferred)
  • One year of experience as a PACU nurse or in ICU/ER
Physical Demands:
  • Requires walking and standing during most of the duty time
  • Frequent reaching, handling of instruments and equipment
  • Speaking and hearing essential for relaying information and receiving doctor's orders
  • Visual acuity required to work with records and equipment
  • Frequently lifting 30-50 pounds
