Job Summary

The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a vital role in the financial operations of OakBend Medical Center. This position is responsible for managing a portion of the hospital's Accounts Receivable accounts, including third-party payers and government payers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Timely and accurately collect, resolve, and process accounts
  • Direct contact with payer representatives to resolve discrepancies and denials
  • Prioritize claims to optimize money collected
  • Meet team productivity goals
  • Verify the accuracy of payments received
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered
  • Two years of work experience in an administrative setting
  • Typing 35 words per minute
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Collection laws knowledge
  • Ability to communicate well with customers
