Clinical Nurse Leader - Emergency Services

Position Overview:

Role Summary:
The Clinical Nurse Leader in the Emergency Services is tasked with delivering direct patient care while serving as the charge nurse, ensuring a secure and supportive environment for all patients.

Required Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing institution with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Completion of charge nurse training and competencies within the first 90 days of employment
  • Active RN license in the State of Texas or a compact license
  • Certifications in Clinical Courses such as Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, NRP, etc.
  • Advanced Specialty Certification such as CCRN, CEN, RNC, etc. to be obtained within 2 years
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and make informed decisions for the departmental team
  • Develop staffing strategies based on patient needs and oversee daily operations
  • Monitor workflow and adapt staffing to meet unit objectives
  • Facilitate patient flow and ensure timely admissions and discharges
  • Engage in departmental initiatives and process enhancement projects
  • Assist with recruitment, performance evaluations, and incident investigations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
