Position Summary:

The Front Desk Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient and courteous service to our guests. This role involves overseeing front desk operations, handling guest inquiries, and coordinating with other departments as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greeting and Check-in: Greet and assist guests upon arrival, check them in and out, and handle special requests.
  • Information and Assistance: Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
  • Issue Resolution: Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and courteously.
  • Financial Transactions: Ensure all guest folios are accurate and all financial transactions are correctly recorded.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise front desk staff, ensuring they complete their tasks efficiently.
  • Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to new front desk team members.
  • Coordination and Communication: Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to address guest needs and maintain hotel standards.
  • Security and Emergency Response: Monitor the security of the hotel during the night shift, ensuring all safety protocols are followed, and handle emergency situations according to hotel policies and procedures.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, complaints, and resolutions.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare shift reports and communicate any issues to the Front Office Manager.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining inventory of front desk supplies and placing orders as needed.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining a high level of service quality and solicit guest feedback to improve service.
Requirements:
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential for this role.
  • Front Office Experience: Previous Front Office experience in a supervisory or management capacity in a luxury property is required.
  • Education: A High School diploma, general education degree, or international equivalent is required.
  • Technical Skills: An operational knowledge and proficiency in Front Office Systems, Micros-Fidelio, and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are necessary.
