Cybersecurity Chief of Staff

Vaco is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Chief of Staff to play a pivotal role in supporting the CISO and the cybersecurity team. This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, strategic planning, and coordination of cybersecurity initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the CISO to develop and implement the organization's cybersecurity strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Operational Oversight: Lead the daily operations of the cybersecurity team, ensuring effective execution of cybersecurity initiatives and programs.
  • Project Management: Manage cybersecurity projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget and quality standards, and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Policy Development: Develop, review, and update cybersecurity policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks, ensuring the protection of the organization's information assets.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between the cybersecurity team and other departments, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Incident Response: Coordinate and manage the response to cybersecurity incidents, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
  • Training and Awareness: Develop and implement cybersecurity training and awareness programs for employees at all levels, ensuring a culture of cybersecurity awareness and compliance.
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cybersecurity initiatives and operations, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
