Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Paralegal to join our team at Leidos. As a Senior Paralegal, you will provide professional support to our Federal Agency clients in Washington, DC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate, timely, and reliable paralegal support to our clients.
  • Assist in the preparation of legal documents, including motions, briefs, and correspondence.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support our clients' needs.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in paralegal support.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of Paralegal degree or certificate.
  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of prior relevant experience or additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of five or more years of litigation paralegal experience with trial experience.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance with Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools, such as LEXIS NEXIS and Westlaw.
  • Experience performing legal research and writing.
  • Experience preparing legal memoranda and correspondence.
  • Experience assisting attorneys with all phases of litigation, including aiding with discovery requests and responses; reviewing documents for relevance and privilege; drafting motions and briefs; organizing exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices; and assisting at trial.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and manage complex relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Experience consistently delivering highest quality work under pressure.
  • Hands-on experience or training with ESI tools and general knowledge of e-discovery procedures and resources.
  • Hands on experience or training using relational databases to track the steps occurring in litigation and to document case milestones.
  • Ability to summarize legal issues and facts.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Law degree desired.
  • Prior experience working in a Federal Government environment.
Pay Range

$68,900.00 - $124,550.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
