Job Overview:

Guidehouse is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Paralegal Specialist to support our growing litigation and investigative support practice area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation paralegal support, with experience in research, document review, and case management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional, accurate, and timely paralegal support to litigating teams, including research, document review, and case management.
  • Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial activities.
  • Perform research, locate responsive information, identify relevant laws, judicial decisions, and legal articles; synopsizing transcripts of hearings and oral arguments for attorney use.
  • Review case material and identify potentially conflicting statements or areas requiring further investigation.

Requirements:

  • Active and maintained Top Secret federal security clearance.
  • Five or more years of relevant experience in litigation paralegal support or FOIA analyst experience.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of legal research tools, such as LEXIS NEXIS, Westlaw, and Pacer.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five or more years of relevant experience with trial experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Successful completion of Law Degree or Paralegal Studies/Certificate.
  • Experience with all phases of litigation, including assisting with discovery requests and responses; drafting motions and briefs; organizing exhibits, and assisting at trial.
