Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Module Clerk plays a vital role in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of dental supply modules (dispensaries). This position involves daily interactions with essential stakeholders in the dental clinics, including students, staff, and administrative personnel. The Supply Module Clerk is tasked with ensuring that all individuals receive the necessary materials and supplies for effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the systematic organization of each supply module to facilitate easy ordering and restocking. Maintain the overall cleanliness of the module and other supply storage areas, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines and policies.
  • Dispense supplies, instruments, materials, and equipment to students as requested, utilizing various inventory control systems for consistent tracking. Address basic inquiries and provide information regarding policies, services, and operational hours, while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
  • Clearly communicate expectations to students regarding the use and return of all items, particularly instrument kits and materials. Follow up with individuals who misuse items or escalate issues to a supervisor as necessary.
  • Place orders to replenish supply and material inventories, verifying receipt of orders to identify any discrepancies. Restock modules and other supply storage areas as required.
  • Receive sterilized kits, instruments, and other items back into the supply module, ensuring all items are clean, complete, and ready for dispensing.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions through the appropriate repair request system and notify Facilities Management of any physical plant issues.
  • Organize and dispense laboratory work returned from external labs or the in-house digital lab.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Working Hours: Hours may vary based on operational needs, with evening hours required as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent certification.
  • At least one year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the dental field or healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with various types of dental instruments and materials.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, with a comfort level in using technology.
