Role Overview:
The Patent Administration Analyst is responsible for supporting Via LA's patent evaluation processes. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the Contract and Patent Administration Department's activities and responsibilities, enabling effective organization and planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality work products consistently, demonstrating reliability and initiative in completing assignments.
- Exhibit professional courtesy and respectful behavior, enhancing the Company's reputation while collaborating effectively with colleagues.
- Contribute positively to a team-oriented environment, acknowledging the contributions of team members and assisting with additional projects as needed.
- Foster customer relationships through regular communication, ensuring that all customer needs are addressed.
- Maintain and audit the patent database to ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
- Manage data entry and tracking within the patent database, generating reports as required.
- Update the patent database following the completion of evaluations, ensuring accuracy in submitted forms.
- Conduct research on patent information, including priority dates and family data.
- Monitor patent evaluation statuses and communicate with evaluators as necessary.
- Coordinate with Accounting for patent evaluation fee invoicing and communication with patent holders.
- Assist in preparing various patent reports and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager on patent submissions and outstanding evaluations.
- Serve as an additional point of contact for patent-related inquiries.
- Maintain documentation of department processes and procedures for reference and audit purposes.
- Provide organizational support for contract and tax matters as required.
