Medical Records Coordinator

As a Medical Records Representative at Clearway Pain Solutions, you will play a vital role in maintaining patient confidentiality and ensuring the accuracy of medical records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain patient charts electronically and retrieve files for scheduled appointments.
- File all patient data upon receipt of information and retrieve records for new patients.
- Process and respond to all requests for medical records, complete invoices, and collect payment before distributing.
- Distribute medical documents and other related materials to physicians, other facilities, and departments.
- Produce records and documents for billing and/or legal services, send and receive information via efax and by mail.
- Answer, transfer, and make outgoing telephone calls, coordinating with representatives of different companies for medical record inquiries.
- Monitor supplies needed, distribute faxed information to the appropriate departments, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including exceptional customer service.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with doctors, clinical staff, other co-workers, and the public.
- Ability to work individually and within a team, follow verbal and written instructions, and work a flexible schedule.
- Ability to respond with patience and understanding during stressful conditions related to patient health and emergent situations.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize, demonstrate extreme attention to detail, and possess strong organization skills.
- Ability to problem solve and use reasoning, meet predefined quality standards, and maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
- Working knowledge of the healthcare field and medical terminology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of Medical Records experience.
Driving/Travel:
The employee must have reliable transportation, and travel for this position may be required up to 20%.
